A new TennCare notice provides details about the COVID-19 vaccines that are now eligible for pharmacy administration reimbursement.
The cost for the vaccine itself will be covered by the federal government via funding authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. An administration fee, in line with the current Medicare payment rates, will be paid to pharmacies that submit claims for covered COVID-19 vaccines within the specified product limits:
