TPA Partners with Count It! Lock It! Drop It! to Offer Grants to Support Pharmacy-Based Drug Disposal Options for Patients!
The Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA) and Count It! Lock It! Drop It! are proud to partner together to support the Tennessee Rx Take-Back Project. The purpose of the project is to support pharmacies in their efforts to assist communities in the disposal of unused/unwanted and out-of-date medications.
“Pharmacists have an important voice and play an integral role in combating the opioid crisis. We are excited to partner with Count It! Lock It! Drop It! to provide needed resources to support their work in reducing access to unused or expired medications,” remarked Micah Cost, PharmD, MS, Executive Director of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association. “Pharmacies play a vital role in engaging and educating consumers. Our partnership with the Tennessee Pharmacists Association for the Tennessee Rx Take-Back Project will assist pharmacists in meeting the needs of their patients and the community at large,” commented Kristina Clark, Project Manager, Count It! Lock It! Drop It!
