Reminder: The Bureau of TennCare issued a provider notice summarizing changes for the TennCare pharmacy program that are effective March 1, 2014. Pharmacists may access the notice HERE. 

The notice includes details regarding: the extension of the Timely Filing Limit from 90 days to 365 days from date of service; a new 14-day limit on initial fill of oncology products; requirements for approval of non-preferred agents in the Short-Acting Narcotics class; changes to the brand as generic list; and changes to Prior Authorization Criteria.
